Guten Morgen Darth Maul :D

here is the manual tranny data (euro spec that is, don't know if US/Canada are different though)

4.23, 2.52, 1.66, 1.22, 1 - 323
4.21, 2.49, 1.66, 1,24, 1 - 328

Info from the TIS

Final Drive Ratios:

323i- 3.07
323iA- 3.07
328i- 2.93
328iA- 3.07

Those final ratios don't look right compared to US brochures I have in my 'library'. The TIS has info from alll markets so they might not be for US spec.

I can double-check tonight if nobody else comes up with em.

I'm CERTAIN the automatic has different final drive ration than the stick on the 323i. In fact, I'm almost certain the 323i stick has 3.16 final drive and the auto is a 3.46. The wagon is like 4.0 or something.

dunno about the 328i.

323: 3.07
323A: 3.38 or 3.46 I would imagine, most likely the latter

328/330: 2.93
323/330A: 3.38 or 3.46 I would imagine, most likely the latter
From the 2000 E46 brochures:
(same for respective Ci and i)
323MT: 3.07
323AT: 3.46
328MT: 2.93
328AT: 3.46

Note that the AT trannys have the same ratios but MTs have slightly different ones (ZF vs Getrag tranny)

There could have been mid-production changes that aren't documented in my brochures. The 325iT MT went from 3.15 to 3.46 around April '01 production.
