Forgive me if this topic has already been covered in other threads. I noticed a long crack in my windshield yesterday caused by impact from a rock or some other object tossed up from the road. My insurance company authorized OEM glass for me and Safelite auto glass is coming to install it this week. I am wondering if there is anything I should look for to ensure a quaity job is done. I called my dealer and they sub out their glass work anyway so I figure I am OK with this route. Any help/tips are appreciated.

Thanks

make sure you check for cracks after install - that's right AFTER install while the tech is still there. Even a skilled tech can occasionally get a bit heavy handed and cause a stress fracture. Mine was at the center, near the rearview mirror mount.

I saw it after the tech left 2 days later. My only defense was that the car was not driven since the install (milage was taken at instal) - otherwise, I'd be SOL.
