Hi guys,
After arriving back from holidays I have noticed that there appears to be a fluid leak from the transmission area on my 2008 x5. I have been Verbally advised by BMW service in Melbourne that this repair will be approx $1400.00. The car has covered 50,000 Kim's. Can this repair be done by a specialist mechanic outside of the BMW network, and is this a known issue with this model ( service representative seemed to know exactly what the probable cause was!)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
