Hi guys,

i´m going to help a fried to change his rear brakes this thursday.
We need to set the electrical rear brake to the service position.
I´m already working with F-models, the ENET cable and ISTA but never had a E-model.
I already have the MaxDiag2 USB cable but need some help.

What and how do i need to do in ISTA to set the rear brakes to service position?
What do i need to do after we changed the discs and pads?

Thanks for your help!

kind regards
Michael

Hi,
In ISTA under service functions you can activate workshop mode on the rear brakes to service them. With the same service function you can also disable the workshop mode again or alternatively take the car for a drive. If it recognizes a speed over a few mph it will disable the workshop mode itself

Yes you also have to reset CBS service data after the repair. You can reset either under service functions in ISTA or trough the buttons on the instrument cluster
