e90 eps vin change

hi
im am trying to change the vin on a used eps unit with winkfp but it is not showing any vin so it wont let me put my vin in.
tried tool32 but comes back as error (see pic)
anyone able to help with this

Side note, I wasn't aware any E90 came with EPS? I thought they all had hydraulic steering...


-E- after looking it up, looks like other markets had some variants with EPS. Not the US market I am familiar with though.
