I am told that my 2010 335i (N54) engine is leaking a little oil because the cylinder head gaskets are leaking. The oil drips onto my exhaust and I can smell it. The shop says it's a 6-7 hour job! Has anyone had this work done and if so, how much $$ did it cost you?

NOT head gasket, not for 6 or 7 hours to replace. The Valve Cover Gasket might take 6 or 7 hours, but not the head gasket.

I did it DIY
If you need, you can watch some of the videos I made (I am rebuilding my engine)

You can do it without removing the injectors if you slack the injection fuel rail (that would save you a good headache)
First you want to relief the fuel pressure (by removing the fuel pump fuse)

You might want to remove the cabine air filter to make yourself some room. I have a 135i, it might be a bit different, but the idea should be similar...
