So i recently bought a 2007 BMW 335i e93. It came with a shit ton of problems...... One of the problems i noticed was a SOS light on the dash. I began digging to find the stock amp wasn't plugged in and was sitting in a puddle of water... and the cables were all cut. I went online and bought a used amp, and a new harness to connect back to the old one that was cut. After receiving the harness i realized it was for a e63. Some of the colors were different and it has extra wires. Would i be able to just wire a whole different aftermarket amp? Or what is the best think I should do. Pictures of what i have below... You have numerous posts how to connect amp. Water is common in that area if maintenance neglected.
Installing aftermarket amp requires much more than just plug and play. If you just want sound, find used amp that fits your part number.
If you want more, there are numerous posts about that in e90post.com forum. Ctuna will help you with that.
If you want much more, aftermarket is best solution but requires much more than just amp.

They use the same three sound systems throughout most models.
There may be some small eq differences.

See the link in the above link that says
BMW Logic 7 Amplifier Information
TOP-HIFI SYSTEM AMPLIFIER
HiFi System Professional DSP

You can add a aftermarket amp if you know what you are starting with
but there are some things that make it difficult espcialy with a Logic 7 system.
Due to the Fiberoptic connection between the Head Unit and Amp.
Also the Logic 7 amp is 9 channels so if you want to drive all locations the closest thing is and 8 channel amp or amp DSP.

Best to take your question's to he e90post.com stereo subforum.
