I have a 2000 BMW 528i. It has started having a few serious problems. The windshield wiper began to work intermittently. At the same time that the windshield wiper act up, the fan to the air conditioner stops working and the speedometer and gas gauge also stops. Question: Is there a common cause here at the instrument cluster level or do I have multiple issues. Finally, where can I get a wiring diagram to this car on line? Thanks

The Bentley E39 service manual has wiring diagrams.

What is the overnight battery voltage? S/b at least 12.5.

Use the sun visor test to determine if the ignition switch may be worn out. Turn in the passenger visor light. If this has an effect on the faults, it's likely that the switch is bad.

The A/C fan problem is likely caused by the failure of the final stage unit. located in the HVAC duct on the passenger side.
