I have a question, my 2012 F10 has options for connected drive but it never works, I paired my iPhone and enabled internet hotspot via bluetooth, when I press on ConnectedDrive it shows loading and after 5 minutes tells me is not possible and I have to call BMW, when I try to add my VIN in BMW Remote app it tells me the car is not supported.

I have called BMW and they told me is impossible to make it work because I have old equipment and also these features were working only in France.
Is there a coding way to enable them ? I am interested in BMW Remote app on iPhone.

My car has these options related to connectivity

No, can't be coded. If you want to add BMW Apps then a 9C FSC Code is needed and Coding for 6NR.

Many activate with 9C FSC Code. It's the official way.

My phone - Redmi Note 8t (android os).
I want to activate BMW Online and BMW Apps.
Is it possible in my car and headunit?

Does anyone know why it disappears? It also looks like the update I paid Gerry for after your PM didn't work. No change at all.

 

FSC Code clearly did not install. Get with Gerry to see what your issue is.

 

Working with him now, but I can't get the car to load his .bin file. I wonder if there is some sort of coding that could have been done previous to this that would prevent the headunit from loading it.

 

No, coding would not prevent .bin loading.

 

Is it the fact that the bin is labeled UPD03553 and I previously updated from BMW's official site to UPD09032?

 

No. BMW .bin UPD09032 is for Bluetooth Update. UPD03553 is custom .bin, with 3553 being last 4 of VIN. .bin File Names make no difference.

Has anyone else had an issue using an OBD2 Bluetooth scanner? Following this update I can no longer read error codes on my car except for one module... 63 Headunit, the module that was programmed.

I feel like during the process, that the remaining modules may have been excluded from the ECU list and I have no idea of how to get them back on.

Apps should have no affect whatsoever on fault code scanning.

And Scanner should be querying all system busses to pull fault codes, not using any predefined ECU List.

I started to add the DAB+ function (europe no Sirius) to my entrynav2 by changing the antenna amplifier (placed on the trunk door n° 65209352603) and adding the cable (61126821855) from the yellow Head unit fakra to the new antenna amplifier. Now I have to activate the DAB+ function. I use BIMMERCODE. At the moment I managed to listen to only one radio station, can you help me (section 3002 HU I think please?

This has nothing to do with BMW Apps, which is the subject of this thread.

You should be VO Coding Head Unit for 654 DAB Tuner rather than trying to FDL Code it.

 

@shawnsheridan would it be possible, you help me with the bmw apps activation for my f11 nbt? Thanks for answer.

 

BMW Apps requires a 9C FSC Code and 6NR Coding. BMW AG however discontinued the ConnectedDrive App and replaced it with the myBMW App, so an older ConnectedDrive App would need to be on Phone and even then i am not sure it would work.
