hello every body,
I just received my new 520i car 2014 two days ago. I'm newbie in coding but succeed to connect with e-sys and read data.

I'm in a country where connected drive is not available. however my car is equipped with

Can I by coding activate bmw apps and connect internet by phone connection sharing?

Hi,

I have been searching on the web for people having the same issue I have with bmw apps and could not find anything relevant.
here is my issue:
My car is equiped with connected drive and bmw apps but unfortunately bmw apps does not work when istart the engine.
My phone is seen by the car when connected via usb cable andBMW connected launched, all seems to be ok but no app is visible on the car's screen.
the only way i can make it work is to have the car off, press start/stop once, connect the phone with cable and launch bmw connected on the iphone.
Then only i can see like spotify and other bmw apps showing up,

Any idea to support?

Sure, this solution can work, but it is not OEM, and it patches Head Unit to accept Fake FSC Codes, which after any dealer programming will leave all FSC Codes (Navigation, Voice Control, BMW Apps, etc.) with Status = Rejected.

Hi Shawn,
Got NBT retrofitted in my 2012 F10 520d with my cars VIN as default so iDrive got all my cars factory option and theres a question (mean a couple of them ;) ):
* would be possible to enable internet apps (Local Wiki)
and (not sure thats the right topic :) )
* how to get oil level in iDrive working? Got 2 oil-related HU_NBT options coded as activ but still no joy

I attempted to create a Map update FSC with e-sys and NBT.EXE file it created a code.txt file with a FSC, but it did not work.

Not possible. 20-Digit Alphanumeric Map FSC Codes are completely different then regular FSC Codes, which are Encrypted files digitally signed by BMW AG. You cannot just generate them.
