Do you have the N53 engine with direct injection? If so, your problems may be similar to the problems with the turbo-charged N54 engine that owners in the USA have had. Make sure you get the updated HPFP, which seems to have solved the problems. There is also a software update to make the low-pressure pump run early to prime the HPFP....Has anybody else had similar problems, or know why the fuel pumps are packing in every 5k miles or so? Pulling away from a slow start in 2nd/3rd gear it shakes, EMS light on and limp home mode kicks in.
Any ideas/suggestions much appreciated
Might also be a problem with the valvetronic positioning motor - have been some failures of that component.
