I drove my car to a local mechanics house to diagnose some "ticking" engine noise, and within 2 seconds he said it was a lifter.
I've tried to find a "lifter" on google and Ebay but I can only find rockers. Where can I buy lifters, and how many are there in the M20 engine? If there's more than one, I would go ahead and chang them all...

M20's even with adjusted valves will sound like a typewriter. Its the valve's ticking as long as its not super loud its normal.

I'll try and post a video with good sound. I've never driven or heard an M20 before I bought this car (I bought it knowing it would need work), but it sounds like a diesel almost...
