Agree with Banglenot. ]Do not drive the car until you can determine what the actual oil pressure is and if low, fix the cause. My son's 328i had the same thing. We hooked up an oil pressure gauge and found the pressure was low at idle. From there we pulled the oil pan. It was a pain as we had to support the engine and lower the K-member first. As soon as we pulled the pan we saw a bunch of black debris in the pan and clogging the oil pump pick up. It turned out one of the plastic valve chain guides in front of the engine cratered and clogged the oil pump pick up. After replacing the guides, oil pump and cleaning everything out he's been good to go since. If he would have continued to drive he would have done major damage to the car.
