here is a rough (and i stress rough) draft of a simple card... i dont know how to make the editable text boxes in a pdf like last year's card... but i will be working on this card more this weekend if no one has anything better and should be able to figure out the text thing... (wouldnt take much to make a better card)

Cool deal, thanks for the reply. I remember last year I completely edited out the options portion since my car isn't exactly in original condition anymore.

That would be cool if we could find a way to be able to edit the text in there. Also, is there a spot to put down maybe the year and model of the car and possibly even the person's screenname? I think that would be really cool to be able to identify peoples cars from the internet. At least it might make things easier.

revised placard

here is a revised placard... there are text boxes which will no show up on the prints.. drag your mouse over the little note icons for the description of the text box.. it should be fairly straight forward...

EDIT: I may need to fix a glitch on the ID card... also when printing (if you do not have Adobe Acrobat Full and you just have Acrobat Reader, when printing select print without comments) You may also need to get the latest version of Acrobat reader.

Yeah, I tried making one and printing it as a test, and it doesn't print the text that I added. I probably didn't do it right. I'll mess around with it more when I get home.

a bullet for a mac within adobe programs is usually "alt"+"8"

not really sure about linux

(In case you ain't guessed, I have an "issue" with folks assuming all the worlds' a Wintel PC).

Is there a way to add a section on the bottom to list "Awards" if it has won or placed in any competitions?

Eek, did you pull the file from your account? Says file not found. I finally got to a working computer with a printer. :dunno:

the server which was holding the file is down until around 4 today. I will try to add it to another server and get it back up here...

Last year they posted an additional place card form for those of us that have extensive modifications. Is it possible to get one for this year too?

I modified the one we have now with the options box deleted and enlarged the mod box but this is still not enough space. I can post this one if anyone is interested.

I assume you are asking about the PDF version.

Name on the top line, then Year, Car/Model, and Message Board Handle. I think there is help if you hover over the funny icons in the boxes.

Since I post under my own name, I put the color of my car in the third box. Just in case anybody doesn't know it's "Phoenix" Yellow.
