I've just taken delivery of a 2017 340xi. It comes with EVO 2016-3 maps.

My understanding is that EVO updates automatically via 4G. So presumably i don't have to fuss over the map downloads & FSC codes anymore.

Or can i update it manually & get a more recent version?

What are my options?

HU_NBT2 units update regionally OTA. You can check map version from idrive. It may show two different versions (main plus local).
