Hi All,

I have an F11 520d with 184 hp .
I have seen quotations that it can go up to 238hp with remap or box to plug in .

I prefer the boxes and it seems it is connected to both fuel rail and turbo boost sensor.

What are the downsides of it ? They claim it is within engine tolarence so no significant pressure. However gaining almost 50hp doesn't sound like a slight modification so certainly extra load on gearbox and engine

what will be your 0-60 ? mine is around 8 with that I guess around 7 or 6.5?

do you have a specific brand in mind ?

once you install this what happens to the sport and standard mapping available on the car which one can flick between ?
Many thanks

Remaps are superior to tuning boxes. Just stick to the reputable companies.

Diesels are purposely de-tuned from factory to meet some emissions laws so you can pretty much guarantee any remap will see you 10-20% more power and economy on a derv without even trying. Very different world to petrol, the guys I know run a remapping business get lots of their custom remapping fleet vans!
