Awesome. Let me know how you get on. As you will see from the thread in the coding section ("Ethernet error") I have not been able to even get a proper connection. Keen to know if others with an F15 can successfully connect and read the VCM/code. That way ill know if a problem with F15 in general or just mine! Thanks.

I was able to get a connection and bring up the diag to see the car's vin.

 

Reading the ECU works for me per shawn's instructions.

Make sure you do this in ESys first

Just wondering if anyone knows technically what is included in the optional ConnectedDrive services package (£230 option including Information Plus and Remote services) ? In other words what is the difference between a car with it and without it ?

I assume this to be the enablement or inclusion of a module and thus something that in theory could be added via a software update ?

I was successful at coding some simple stuff:
trunk closure with the key
side mirrors closure with the fob and comfort access
windows roll up with the fob

looking for some more sophisticated codes, like program sped shifter indicator on HUD, etc...

 

I have been coding my F15 using ECUs directly, I have not had any Ethernet issues.

No Listing in Esys

I have just got my 2014 F15 and tried to connect to it using Esys and Failed.
I have changed the Settings as per instructions ie RAM set to 1024 and unchecked Update VCM after TAL Execution and also Update MSM after TAL execution, When I start Esys I do not get ANY listing of chassis Types at all even though it shows my VIN No, Does anybody have any ideas please?

It connected to my X3 with no problems, Does it mean a re install ?

What version of PSDZData files are you running? Do you have them installed in the correct location?

 

Hi Many thanks, I have managed to sort it, there was a corrupt file in PSDZdata folder reinstalled PSDZdata and all ok.

I have managed to code some but the ones I really wanted to code I can't ie
Emergency stop flashing brake lights and Changing number of Blinking turn signals, the LceMaster module is not present on my motor

 

because they are all located in BDC_Body:

BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP > new value is werte = X-1, default is werte = 02. Change the triple blinker blinks to any amount. (Value is XX + 1).

ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG > new value is bremslicht, default is blinkendflachenvergroesserung. Change Emergency brake light from Inner Brake Lights to Flashing Lights.

ESS_AKTIVIERUNG_GESCHW > new value is User Value, default is werte=02 (5 km/h). Threshold Speed for Activating Emergency brake light

No, there is no way to do this. @shawnsheridan confirmed this a while back via coding. I looked it up myself and found the code as well.

HU_NBT > ENT_MC_VIDEO_SUPPORT > change nicht aktiv to aktiv.

It enables MC Video playback and saving of videos to internal HD, however it is confirmed to not work recently in the F30 forums. You can try your luck, though if you want.

 

Here is the code for Trailer Zoom, Camera zooms down to where the Towball is and is handy for when you are extremely close to aobstacle.

Is this for the rear view camera? So you can actually see closer if you're getting close to hitting something? How useful/accurate is it? I want to know if it zooms in enough so you can see the parking lot concrete slabs.

 

Here are a couple of pics, The car has not moved in the Zoom pic, you can see the Rear end of the Car looking virtually straight down so I would assume it would work for you, at my work the parking is very tight and I reverse till I am less than 1" from the wall

Wow, this is a great find actually, much better than just back-up camera in tight spaces, even better than surround view actually.

 

I have managed to code for the acoustical chirp when locking/unlocking the car but it isn't a menu option to select it or not, does anyone have the code to add this to the menu?

It will add iDrive setting to turn on/off the audible confirmation when Alarm is armed.

It's ok. I just approach most coding with common sense. Think about each code and where you think it would be. Naturally if you want something to become an option in the iDrive, the first place you should think of should be HU_NBT.

You mean for like Anti-Glare free high beams? No. Still not possible due to hardware differences from European builds.
