F15 coding

Hi

Has anyone tried to code an F15 yet using E-Sys? There is a thread in the coding forum reporting possible difficulties in doing this (Ethernet issues), but thought worth posting in here also in case anyone else has tried and can feed back results.

Thanks

Here is a better clarification for the last drive modes.

If you go into the ICM module then the 300A DSC ICM CODIERDATEN folder. Towards the middle you will see a few feshasmode codes.

Mode 1 = Comfort
Mode 2 = Comfort +
Mode 3 = Sport+
Mode 4 = Sport
Mode 5 = Don't know yet
Mode 6 = Don't know yet
Mode 7 = Eco Pro
Mode 8 = Edrive (not relevant)

You can turn any of these on (even though most are on by default) by activating the corresponding feshasmode code. For example, to turn on comfort+, you would change feshasmode2 to active.

Below these codes you will find a few fesallowmodelastfunction codes. If you turn these on, the car will remember the last setting it was in when you turned it off, and will then turn on in the same setting. You can turn on more than one at a time.

So fesallowmode2lastfunction will remember comfort+ mode, fesallowmode4lastfunction will remember sport mode, and fesallowmode7lastfuncion will remember eco pro.

The last thing you will need to do to get the car to not reset the last driving mode is change the werte in feslastfunctioninterval to FF.

May I also please request the software and data files link from one of you kind souls? I purchased the e-Sys software and cable several years ago, but have lost a couple of the CD's (during a country "move") and don't have the original PC anymore... Still have the cable though :)

Just purchased an F15 50i (2015 model) that I'd like to take a closer look at ...

Thanks, I'd really appreciate it.

success!

Successfully achieved my first (easy) coding : disabled default MSA activation and enables USB video :D
I've tried enabling SAT in EGS but did not find any visible change: anyone knows how to check if Sport Automatic Transmission is activated ? Is it depending on any chassis mode ?
Last I want to retrofit 8TH, so how to get a proper official FSC code ?

Hi there!
Just to confirm we succeeded to retrofit SLI 8TH on my F15 :)
Thanks to shawnsheridan and his contact Gerry for FSC

I have a X5 F15 from dec'14 and I would like to keep the last drive mode (comfort, sport, eco pro) in memory so when I restart the next day I still have the same driva mode at engine start.

I've changed the following but it still do not work:

BDC_BODY 3221 PfFesMaster FesAllowMode2LastFunction aktiv
BDC_BODY 3221 PfFesMaster FesAllowMode4LastFunction aktiv
BDC_BODY 3221 PfFesMaster FesAllowMode7LastFunction aktiv
BDC_BODY 3221 PfFesMaster FesLastFunctionInterval Werte=FF

Can someone help me?

Thanks

As far as I know, there is no way to code the car so that the sport drive mode will stay for the next time you drive. People have been trying as long as that button has been there, and I have not seen ANY confirmation from anyone that you can do that specific thing.

You might be able to code it so that the eco pro mode stays when you start up next time, but I doubt that is what you want.

I just tried this and it worked.

ICM FesAllowMode2LastFunction aktiv
ICM FesAllowMode4LastFunction aktiv
ICM FesAllowMode7LastFunction aktiv
ICM FesLastFunctionInterval Werte=FF

When I flashed the code back to my X5, there were several messages saying tire pressure measurement down, car detection sensor down, people detection sensor down... Was a bit worried but after restarting the engine, everything was normal and the drive mode kept the last mode. It works for Eco Pro, Sports or Comfort

Hope this can help
