Also is it possible to add factorry cameras front and rear to my bmw x5 f15 2015 it has no front or rear cams but iwas wondering if wiring loom was there and can buy cameras and code them in
It is full m sport spec with full pro navigation and all the other toys just no cams front and rear but has pdc.

ISTA is for diagnostics with ENET or ICOM as well as programming with ICOM. ISTA-P with ENET or ICOM is for programming. E-sys is for coding.

To add cameras, it is possible, but you would need a number of things. There are both OEM or non-OEM solutions. You will likely need wiring, cameras, iCAM ECU, possibly PMA_PDC ECU, and center console switches.

Hi Guys, my 2016 X5 has Driver assist plus and I would like to activate speed limit information on the HUD, I have activated the menu via coding and subsequently activated the option in the setting menu of the car. however I still don't get any limit information in the HUD. Could you please tell me if I need to activate something else via coding? Thanks.

 

I thought SLI was disabled in Australia, due to speed limits sometimes found on buses, requiring an emulator to unlock reading signs from KAFAS and map data.

 

I wasn't aware that it was disabled here, well it looks like I will go without. Thanks

 

Our F15 had a software update at the dealer last week, so I needed to re-do some of the coding. Everything worked ok, except for updating the number of blinks when I tap the turn signal stalk.

I have used BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP off of the coding cheat sheet to adjust this in the past, but it no longer seems to have any effect. I did notice that the default value was werte=00 after the latest update, and in the past it had always been werte=02 as default.

Has anyone else noticed this on the latest software version?

I agree with your finding. Any werte value other than 00 is registered as unknown and leaves setting at three blinks. Is there another area to change this setting?

 

I wanted to code my car again this weekend and found that I don't have CAS module. I have a feeling I had this issue before, but can't remember what exactly it was. Maybe it is just a feeling
Does anyone know why and how to solve it?

 

If you are referring to an F10, like in your profile, then that vehicle may have a CAS module; though, ECU's just do not disappear.
If you are referring to an F15, like this thread, then CAS functions are in BDC_Body.

Hello All,

Wanted to ask coding experts if there is a way to disable alarm from going off if there is something plugged in to OBD port when locking the car. Basically I have an Automatic OBD2 adapter, and when I lock my car the alarm goes off in about 2-5 seconds. Reading other places I see that this was an added programmed feature, so I`m hoping it can be coded off. Anyone knows ? Would really appreciate any feedback!

 

Hi Guys, I was doing some coding on the weekend and my curiosity got the better of me in regards to VO coding and I tried to add 8TH. After not noticing any change I went and removed it and now I don't have CAFD in KAFAS2 and my lane departure and pedestrian avoidance have stopped working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Inject:

- Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on desired kafas2 => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown (bottom) => Select OK => Right-Click on kafas2 (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

I am trying to re-code after the dealer updated my car's sw back in October. I updated e-sys and the psdzdata lite to the latest version but I am getting ... folders instead of actual folder names. Could any please tell me what I need to do to get this working again? Thank you in advance.

 

You must use E-Sys Launcher to Open E-Sys, and you must have correct both E-Sys Launcher Car Series and E-Sys Connection Target specified.

 

Question on enhanced blue tooth coding, I would like to have visual for text message. I***8217;ve looked through a lot of information but I***8217;m still a little confused. I have a 2014 X5 and 2015 X5.
When I do a vin decode (internet) they both do not show 6NH or 6NS in the options.
but I do have the ability to use functions as indicated by 6NH blue tooth audio streaming etc.
Coding steps call for deleting the 6NH and adding 6NS, if the 6NH isn***8217;t there can I just add 6NS?

Assuming car has 609 nav Pro (NBT Head Unit), 6NH will not be present and you will just add 6NS.

another question for clarity. with the e-sys tips it indicates to set E-Sys => Options => Settings => Program tab => Memory Requirement => RAM is set to 1024 or you will likely be unable to read BDC. Do NOT use anything larger than 1024, or E-Sys will be unable to Open, and you will have to reinstall it.
after install mine has defaulted to 2048, I've input 1024 in the space then selected ok, then it says to reopen the program but then after reopen it has reverted back to 2048.

this is my first kick at the cat so I want to make sure I'm not screwing anything up.

 

Launcher options (default, medium, high) will overwrite E-sys settings. The ladder is only used if you open E-sys directly (ie without launcher).
