Hi,

Was wondering if anyone might know, how do i replace the brushed aluminium trim on my front drivers side door on my 2015 F16 X5 25d.

Have searched you tube etc and cant seem to be tell if the entire door card has to come off before that particular part can be changed or can it just be pulled off, really dont want to break it by pulling too hard. I'm guessing there maybe screws holding it on from the inside of the door card?

Also i can seem to find the part anywhere online, any one know any suppliers in the UK at all?

thanks in advance...

@hazza......I have not done this on the F15 X5 but have removed the door card on all my other (older) BMW's to remove the "trim". Looking at the realoem, com picture/diagram (not yours) they show a #2 Fillister head self-tapp.screw w collar ISA ST4,2X16 coming from the back side of the door card holding (1) end of the trim. I will ASSUME that you will need to remove the door card to get the trim off.
Below is a video on how to remove the door card.

Here is one source for the trim. Looks a little pricey @ $289 retail/ $189 discounted.
Hope this helps some.
