Do you have ISTA? Check for fault codes but i suspect the same for you as for another car i was working on. Missing LIN wiring on junction box. But in ISTA you can see live data from the buttons, if they work when being pressed etc.

 

Were you able to change the wiring to make it work? Or do I just write it off as a bad job and put the LIM buttons back on?

 

No i got it sorted. had to loop two wires on the JBF for lin communication to work. No big deal, but not easy to find in ISTA wiring diagrams.

 

Im working on getting ISTA+ working but Im struggling at the moment.
Could you please elaborate a bit, if you can remember, where and what you altered with the wiring.
Any pictures of what you managed to do?
Its nice to know that its possible to get it working, where did you figure out what to change to get it going?

 

I've retrofitted my F20 Lci, 2015, 116D, with cruise control steering wheel, and the seller "helped" me with the codding, but i think something's not right. The cruise control buttons on the left side do not work, only the SET, and when i press the SET the car seems to brake hard and i'm unable to accelerate for a little while, only if i press hard on the acceleration.The other buttons on the right the/re working fine.

I'm late to the party.. But that sounds like the "Set" button is acting as "LIM", so it limits your speed unless you give it full right pedal. So bottom switch activates CC, Toggle-wheel sets speed, "RES" restores speed if you've applied the brakes and "SET" overrides CC and applies Limit Speed. Does that sound right?

UPDATE... Actually it sounds like the coding hasn't worked at all... If only "SET" works, but operates as LIM and no other CC controls work, then the coding hasn't been applied. That's literally what would happen after changing the MFSW switch module alone without coding. I can help if you're confident on Esys?

 

Did you get to the bottom of the cruise control buttons retaining the original functionality after coding? I’m having the same issue right now.

 

Hello! The LIM button was replaced with cruise control buttons. Can someone help me code the cruise control with the brake pedal? I have an enet cable, can anyone do this remotely?

 

I've got this sorted today. Do you have the CC switch with "LIM" or "SET" on the upper switch? Are you knowledgeable using ESYS at all?
