Hi,
Id like to see if any of ya'll has a can trace of the F30 can bus going to the gear selector. I have one on the bench and wanted to not only read button status on CAN1 but also move the shifter to stay in any position + control the light, which I assume would be on the second can bus?

Thanks, I have the pinout, but need the can messages needed to control the shifter. It send the button status and shift position but snaps back to neutral immediately, so something external is controlling it's position + indicator lights. Thanks

How are you capturing CAN bus messages? O-scope or ISTA?

Can-usb adapter. I just want to know what can messages the gws expects in order to stay in a certain shift position. I don't know if that's being sent on ptcan2, but I think it's likely. It would be great if someone had a recording of ptcan1 and ptcan2 while moving the shifter through all positions. Thanks

I just checked, the GWS sends out the exact same messages on ptcan2 so maybe it's just redundant. Does anyone have a can trace of ptcan1 on an f30? Thanks
