Hard wired 7pin tow bar electrics and over a month lost my car right rear indicator.
No voltage on site.
Is there a fuse on either fuse board in the boot or engine bay for the rear right indicator / turn signal.

BMW's have not used fuses on lighting for at least 20 years.
All lights are switched by software driven transistor switches. Your rear lights are controlled by the Rear electronics module - in the floor of the boot.

IN theory you should not be connecting extra lights directly - the system has a specific transistor and wiring for each individual light - and it measures the resistance on each so as to be able to detect failing lamps. Normally for a trailer you need the extra electronics module for that that controls only the trailer lamps.

I suspect that your rear module has detected a fault and has shut down that lamp circuit - but you should have a warning message.

Try disconnecting any wiring connection you made for that circuit and see what happens.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge Jim sounds very logical.
I've disconnected everything and it's still not getting any volvatage to the indicator.
If I disconnect the battery do you think the sensors will 're set them shelves.
Am I ok to disconnected the battery and 're connect and it still drive ect won't need to programme anything???

Hi guys, I've disconnected the hard wired towing electrics and soldered the wires back where I made the connections. I've put a new bulb in. I've disconnected the battery and left it for 10 mins.
And I still have no volts to the right rear indicator.
I have the warning that the indicator is not working but tried everything.
Has anyone any ideas diy without taking in to bmw and paying a fortune for which I think is a 5 min job
