The numbers on my radio fade from left to right
Is there an easy fix for this?
I was able to get the radio out, but I wasn't ready to disconnect it and take it apart if I didnt have too.
I have the code to reactivate it...but it still makes me a little nervous.
Also, if it comes to that, do you enter the code on the radio or the OBC :dunno:

This is a common Bimmer problem. What year is the vehicle? The dim displays are just too expensive to fix. I bought another radio/cassette from Ebay for $90.00. The code goes into the radio display. Personally I'd get an aftermarket radio that has a warranty. My 2 cents worth. :bigpimp:

I didn't know the radio display was expensive to fix. I'm not disagreeing, I just didn't know that. On my 325i, the display was going out, or so I thought, on the onboard computer thing. All it needed was a bulb. It took five minutes to fix and my dealer did it for free. Now, it's bright and clear as ever.

On my '97 318ti when the radio display dimmed the entire radio was replaced under warranty.
