For the last week or two the drivers side fan button has gotten harder to press and sometimes sticks. Has anyone had this problem? All of the other buttons seem fine, including the passenger side fan button.
I have not had any problem with that specific switch/button-- but I have used QD Electronic Cleaner (from CRC) quite successfully to free up "sticky" switches and buttons. It will clean the mechanical parts as well as the electrical contacts. Will not harm plastic. I've sprayed directly on and into power window switches.
It only seems to happen when it's VERY cold outside. When I try to lower the fan speed it turns all the way off, and vice versa because it sticks. This morning it wasn't that cold out and it seemed fine. I have to go in for yearly service in a few weeks so I'll ask them about it.
I popped the button off and cleaned it (had some "dirt" on it). I thought that fixed the problem but it still sticks, only when it's cold outside. Is there something I should do to the part that inside once I take the button off?
