Over the year and a half that I began my Instagram, TheBlackGT, I've amassed over 35,500 followers, and have sent a shockwave throughout the modified BMW community with something like nothing out there.

From a model that was hated by so many (and even somewhat disliked by myself), I still hear the same line at least once at every function I attend. "Wow, I never thought I'd like the GT, but you've changed my mind."

Through the visions I had in mind for the car, I was able to really show that the GT has some serious potential, both looks-wise and even track/performance-wise.

The original will always be something special to me, and I'll never forget the memories created with it.

I know I haven't been too active on these forums and I never really showed the little changes the car went through in its last stages. However, my good friend Mike Bruno took some time out to do his magic one last time, I've attached some of my favorite shots from the shoot (hopefully someone notices the new look ;) ).

However, the end of an era has come. The GT has been retired to her new home in Miami. I remember the day the new owner flew in to pickup the car, I ended up parking next to a completely stock white GT in the lot we were to meet. The owner of the white GT couldn't even believe our cars were the same, and seeing the two next to each other really did show the new owner what special treat he was in for.

I'm glad I was able to make the GT community proud, and I want to thank you all for the support you guys have given me. As my Instagram bio says, "Like No Other." TheBlackGT was truly unique, bold, and like nothing else out there.

All the best. I had never seen your car before until this post and it has inspired me to keep my car. I have been torn over the N63 engine problems posted but since having my injectors replaced the car has been running like a dream and I can't find anything out there as comfortable to drive for the money...so it stays.

I'll look you up to see what your next adventure/project it.

All the best!!

I too will miss your periodic updates of the Black GT saga as you sought, and wildly succeded, to maximize all the potential the GT has to offer. You were able to elicit validation that the rest of us could only dream about and enjoy vicariously via your superb efforts and your posts. Well done, thank you for all of that and best wishes for whatever your next project may be.

Good luck brotha. I'm sure your next car will look stock
Thank you all. I'll be posting my new ride soon (unless you already peeked at my Instagram :eeps: ), but I'm sure you all will be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for giving the surprise away, but not very much in the same fashion. A lot more to come, I'm already the first to ever run coilovers on a GT with my new one. I'll be more thorough when I make a thread here. Thanks.

I personally cannot wait to see what is in store. Loved what the original did for the GT model scene... and think the next chapter will bring just more attention and conversation. Keep up posted man!

the gts look like ford escorts or honda crx machines just a little longer. Yours though is super sharp.

Lots of Toys getting thrown about here.

As per the usual, your GT looks fantastic, such a shame that most of your efforts are bespoke and not easily replicated!
I too looked at replacing the GT with a GT so it does seems common practice once smitten etc!
Good luck with your changes and direction it's always good to peruse!
