So I went to get my car smogged to renew my registration, and the tech comes back and tells me the car failed because of a fault code to do with the transmission, PO741.
From what I have found researching the forums is that it is the "dreaded Torque Converter Circuit Performance or Stuck off."
Now is this a simple fix, like a sensor thats gone bad, or is the tranny about to take a dump? The car runs fine so I don't think the tranny is going bad?? Any info would be appreciated!!

Sounds like the TC clutch is not locking up. Trans specialist s/b able to sort it out.

Wouldn't there be and adverse affect on performance? The car seems to be running just fine.
