First Impressions '02 330ci
Traded a 528i for the 330ci. Wanted a 2 door, a sports car with luggage space a car that was reliable.
Picked the Steel Blue Metallic w/grey

Love the car.. Improvements over the 528i are as folllows: Speedometer very accurate, fantastic acceleration, Transmission shifts as though a clutch is involved, Xenon lights well worth the cost, 2 more miles per gallon, all running gear very sensative, PDC works to perfection. Not one complaint on the assembly. Wonderful job by the factory.
Only down on this car is not BMW stuff, but Nav unit needs a software fix badly. Lady who does the audio thing is far too loud and can not be softened by the setting. House numbers get lost and unit is difficult to shut down. It is as unfriendly a unit as I have ever come across. My dealer tech says factory recognizes problems and will fix them. Soon I hope. Car produced Feb. 11th and delivered to me at Tech Center on the 26th of March. This Tech delivery is great and another long story. Well worth the trip. So far, I have resiisted buying the Llumar sun screen. It needs it though. BMW should ask GM how they do it, as I never had trouble with Cadillac glass insulating me from this Florida sun. Had my 528i Lllumanized and it held up well for 5 1/2 years.
So, if you are experiencing problems with your Nav unit have faith that the fix is on the way.
Have about 1400 miles on the car and can't wait to take a trip up to Maine this summer. From Central Florida this will be a nice ride.:angel:

The standard 330ci is produced with a sports package. Good deal, as all 4 wheels are 17" and tires are all same size. I did not wish the headache of different size tires front to back.
The ride is very firm and I am not into exotic steering wheels. The one sent with my car is great.
Only boo boo I made was not ordering the sports seat. Thought the stock seat would have the same number of adjustments as my 528i had. Not so. Too late to change.
I have 2 discs in back which pinch nerves at times which in turn removes some of the feeling in my feet. Another reason I ordered the Step. This engine coupled with 5 speed must be a dream. Can't always have everything.
