Took my wife's 330i for the scheduled wheel alignment and to my surprise the mechanic pointed out that the front CAB needs replacement. I said no way since I just replaced it last December. Upon closer inspection, the CABs looked like in pretty bad shape. Just imagine a sandwich with too much filling, you squeeze the thing and the filling oozes out. The bushing is pushed out of the housing. I was so surprised by this that I forgot to get some pictures of it.

Do you guys think this is due to bad installation, defective parts or both? I had them installed at a reputable workshop and I bought the CAB from Bimmerworld which IMO has an excellent reputation as well.

Wow, that sounds surprising. I am interested in what you find out from the shop, or other's thoughts what this could be.

I have never replaced mine nor have much experience in what to expect, but 6 months sounds very short indeed.
