My front passenger seat release (to allow access to the rear seat) is broken
I have removed the head rest, plastic part and 2 bolts from the top but the back will not come off. the bently manual shows little if any help here. thanks.
Are you talking about the back leather part? My seat has the same problem, and I'm still trying to figure it all out. The problem that happened with mine was that the cable that goes to the little lever on the side of the seat down undernieth the seat snapped in half somewhere. So now I'm trying to figure out how to route the cable under the seat cause like you said, no pics or diagrams anywhere! Good thing I can at least still sit in it.
I have read all of the forums and have successfully dismantled my seat but I now can't determine how to attach the cable to the lever. Mine broke at the top so I couldnt see it in its original form. How does it connect to the tilt forward lever? 99 M3 with power seats if any of that is impactful. Thanks.
