I need to replace the front suspension on the E30. The steering is tight and responsive, it just needs new front suspension.

Suggestions on brands/prices/vendors??

TIA

control arms and bushings; bimmerworld.com has the best prices ($206 shipped), springs; ive seen a couple good sets on bimmerworld, bavauto, flybrickperformance, ($250 for a decent set) shocks ; best i found was at autozone for some bilsteins ($109 each for the sports)

my 2 cents

i am also doing suspension upgrade. i currently have bav auto sport spings with bilstein shocks. the car is in need of new springs and shocks. i have already done the rear and am also going to be attempting the front this weekend. i ended up going with tokico performance set. i know i know i have read some bad things about them but i had to do this on a budget and i was surprised to see that they dont look cheap. everything i got looks solid. so far the rear is holding up and seems ok. its still tight not real loose in the rear.

If you replace the fronts replace the rears. You just don't feel it because it is not in the steerings.

Get H&R springs:

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/subcategory_detail.asp?modelcode=E30&subcat_id=63

Then replace ALL of the shocks and struts with Bilstein "sports":

132 each for struts
100 each for shocks

http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/...del=325e&autoYear=1987&autoModClar=&brand=all

Here is the best bet:
639 + shipping it will be under 680 shipped easy.

You will love the feel and response around corners.

i just wanted to reply and let you know, i just broke my front strut housing trying to remove the shock collar nut. it was completely rusted and i figured it was going to break. now i have to find another, just a piece of advice you may want to find somewhere locally you can get a used one if yours arent in perfect shape, as i said mine were rusted out pretty bad. hope your install goes better than mine.
