control arms and bushings; bimmerworld.com has the best prices ($206 shipped), springs; ive seen a couple good sets on bimmerworld, bavauto, flybrickperformance, ($250 for a decent set) shocks ; best i found was at autozone for some bilsteins ($109 each for the sports)
i am also doing suspension upgrade. i currently have bav auto sport spings with bilstein shocks. the car is in need of new springs and shocks. i have already done the rear and am also going to be attempting the front this weekend. i ended up going with tokico performance set. i know i know i have read some bad things about them but i had to do this on a budget and i was surprised to see that they dont look cheap. everything i got looks solid. so far the rear is holding up and seems ok. its still tight not real loose in the rear.
i just wanted to reply and let you know, i just broke my front strut housing trying to remove the shock collar nut. it was completely rusted and i figured it was going to break. now i have to find another, just a piece of advice you may want to find somewhere locally you can get a used one if yours arent in perfect shape, as i said mine were rusted out pretty bad. hope your install goes better than mine.
