does anyone know of a good diy on how to remove the front valance? not the lip, but the whole piece with the fog lights and brake ducts.

i think you have to remove the whole front bumper to do it. i know that on my '88, the spoiler mounts to the bottom of the front bumper. on later models, the is an extra piece of sheetmetal right behind the front bumper that is connected to the top of the spoiler. do a search on ebay for "e30 valence" and you'll see what i'm tallking about..

you dont need a write up for this it's really easy. Just jump in and do it.
Here's i'll write you up a diy right now from what i remember.

Remove two torx or hex bolts on the bottom of the bumper.
Slide bumper out slightly and remove turn signal connectors.
Slide bumper all the way off.

Valence is held on by two little torx bolts and two on the side i believe (i can't remember exactly how many).

exactly. Just start removing the bolts on the bumper and the screws holding the Valance to the car/fenders. When my 325is was wrecked i had no idea where to start. JUST DO IT>
And try to remember where the screws came out.:):)
