I have a 2007 Z4 3.0. 70K. it was running & idling bad so I took it to a shop. They said a diagnostic scan showed a bad fuel injector in #1 cylinder. Replaced at $500, runs fine, but makes me wonder about the other 5 injectors....

Should have tried replacing only the coil...get your own BMW OBD II reader. My 2003 3.0 has over 200k on it and has never needed an injector. I have however replaced 2 coils. Takes 15 minutes or less. Really surprised that at 70k it would need an injector.

I have replaced many coil packs on different cars, but never have needed a new injector. Not saying its impossible , but I do my own work and would have done a cool pack first unless I knew the injector was bad bad.

Get a scanner, it will save you money and help you understand your car better.
