Can't really say for sure, but ISTA says program module. If it's a new ECU it'd need to be programmed with the vehicle's VIN and the software aligned - if DME doesn't like to talk to it chances are car won't start.Does anyone know if you need to program or code anything if you replace the Fuel Pump Control Unit on a 2011 BMW 535i? I want to do it myself since it's an easy fix, but I don't know if it's plug and play or if it requires coding.
