Fuse Function

Hello;
2014 F06. CG. I am trying to determine the functionality of each fuse in my car. The BMW supplied card (in the rear fuse panel) doesn't indicate the function only the amp & number. If anyone has a document of both fuse blocks with the function of each fuse I would greatly appreciate this. I've searched youtube and google to no avail. Someone posted that you can remove the exhaust valve fuses/ to get the car sounding a little better as in initial start up (my mufflers do not have any valve flap)?
Thank you.

What engine do you have? The 6 cyl N55 & 8 cyl N63/N63TU have exhaust flaps…not sure about the diesel engine. Here’s a diagram for the N55:

The fuse index found in the rear fuse box has 3 distinct areas. The upper left is the fuse index that uses icons next to the fuse numbers that control that function…the upper right side shows the front & rear fuse boxes and the location of the numbered fuses…and the bottom left/right sides of the fuse index lists the fuse’s number and amperage.

The icons used on the index are the same ones used in the owners manual and on the buttons and switches around the car.

The fuse for the exhaust flap is F135.

WOW!! Thank you. However the card I have (from the rear fuse block) doesn't have any icons. Only the number and amp. Such as what's indicated blow the pictures in the example you provided. Without an icon to go by, it's difficult for me to understand the function of a particular fuse. Thank you again.

Even with the icons, I still stumble on understanding a few of them or at least like to have confirmation.

Here's a couple links for BMW Symbol Meanings as well to help if you need (One BF Member actually put together a pdf in last link below).

I've used Bimmerlink to disable exhaust flap just for fun and to check it out. The car will revert back to normal setting once you turn off ignition.

Is there a way to disable the exhaust flap as indicated on the illustration without causing a light to come on or driveability concerns?
I dunno at ways of achieving via pulling fuses. Not the kind of "cup o' tea" for my personal tastes.

WOW!! Thank you again. Perhaps its on the silencer in the center of the exhaust system (I do have the M sport package). I have looked all around both rear units and there is no valving/electronics.(my car is a 640i N55 6cyl turbo GC with M sport). I'll keep looking. I greatly appreciate this information - Thank you!!!

Which exhaust setup do you have? Is it the single round tail pipe on each side, or do you have a single round tail pipe on one side, or do you have the trapezoidal shaped tail pipes on each side that has two exhaust pipes when you look into the end?

Thanks for the location confirmation…based on your description…the exhaust flap is located in the right exhaust pipe. (y)

Hello;
To further our discussion, I have been all over the underneath of my 640iGC. There are no visible signs of exhaust flaps or any type of exhaust restriction. There is the Cat (at the engine), and a single silencer/muffler in the center of the chassis with two exhaust pipes going through, and then finally the two end mufflers. Pulling the F135 fuse changed nothing (in terms of the sound). However, when first started the exhaust sound is remarkable. When my car warms up, I cannot seem to duplicate the sound (manually).
