Can anyone tell me the symptoms of a guibo failing? When I'm letting off the clutch to take off, sometimes i get a little shimmy or pulse feeling.

Could be. Mine would shudder when under load. Once I hit 40 or so it would smooth out. Got worse as time went on.

Thanks for your reply, im gonna look at it later today. I've felt something similar in my '75 camaro, it turned out to be a broken bell housing. I'd much rather it be the guibo.

You might still have the original CDV (Clutch Delay Valve), which will initiate a vague, imprecise feeling in the clutch system. It is easily removed (less than 30 minute job, even for someone with limited wrenching experience) , and FREE too !.
It was a hot topic for quite a while, so there`s plenty of info archived right here.... just do a SEARCH for "CDV-ectomy"....

Thanks for the info, definitely gonna do that today, also gutting the cats and installing defoulers so it doesn't throw codes.
