Hi all my mate has a F15 (Just acquired) and I have shown him what can be done via coding, He has just asked me a question which to be totally honest I cannot answer, His unit does not have active H/Lamps, he has xenon, Is it possible to code HBA on this vehicle, I have told him he wont have the correct stalk but he is prepared to buy one, So the question is this :-
is it possible to code High Beam Assist without the Vehicle having Active Headlamps?

:dunno:

Bi-xenon can have HBA coded if you code it this way...problem is it won't be automatic. You would have to manually turn it on each time. You must have FLA or KAFAS2 camera to do so though. This thread explains it: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=644297. Is it worth it? Nope, but you're more than welcome to try it out. No one has done it on their Bi-Xenons on the F15. I was going to try it, but I don't have FLA or KAFAS2 so I couldn't. Shawn told me I needed to have a front camera to do this since that's what 5AC uses to monitor oncoming traffic/lights.

Judging by the last few comments, doesn't seem like it works anymore, but who knows? :dunno:

I have VO coded it for him, looked for all the coding as referred to but no luck, Thought I may have found a "Switch" with BDC_BODY>3073>C_HBA_ENA>F015enable from Inaktiv.

It is described as Kommentar=Einsatztermine fuer F010 und F025 offen!!! Switch to enable HBA (Fernlichtasisstent/Blendfrier FLA)2-Stufig (FLA) aktiv =0Mehrstufig (BFL) aktiv =1Voraussetzung: FLC und BLC

But still doesn't work, It looks like he will have to buy a stalk set if he wants it that bad.
