Headlights won't work, it is a 2011 328i, it was jump started directly on the battery not on the terminals in the engine bay....what is the problem, is it major or is it a fuse or control module.....please help

Very likely it is a major module, not a fuse.

Apparently you have a Footwell Module - FRM, they are notoriously fragile to particularly inept jump starts.

They function as the major systems interface and as a box of electronic 'fuses' that reset for only a limited number of overloads. Mine is under warranty extension.

Would the issue be caused by the jump?....the car wasn't driven at night for 2 weeks so I wonder if that was the cause

By that was the cause I meant the jump not not driving it at night, it just wasn't noticed until now
