Hi cannot find for the life of me. Just replaced batter wiped all codes and all is well is there a way I can disable the blowers fuse wise to save it draining the battery over night like it was till I research/find the part number for culprit in question?

Many thanks in advance and just cannot find the post I found ages ago lol.

Sorry the blower resistor on the e63 know as the hedgehog? I know it as final stage resistor between centre console blowers. What I meant was is there a fuse to kill this part of the car to eliminate issues, before replacement. Battery had been replaced all issues cleared and non came back. But if it drains it will be that resistor no doubt.

Sorry, I'd had a few beers that night.

What I meant was I'd been having problems with battery drainage and after all research it seemed It may have been the resistor on the blowers behind Central console. What I was asking was if it drains this new battery after its been registered again and all 100s of fault codes deleted, is there an easy way to disable the blowers via fuse to eliminate that issue as all I get back to is the final stage resistor on blowers keeping car awake or the negative terminal on battery. Although it's been to bmw and they said its not that during recall. But touch wood since I got a replacement for my 1yr old batter and deleted all codes and started again the car has been so much better and I got my mojo back to take care of it.

Once again apologies for original post and hope I worked it better this time lol

Over the kat year since new vattery I've been having so many draining issues with it draining over night, bmw done the recall on the battery terminals were all fine, with more research because the car was not shutting down it always pointed to that item apparently keeping blower going and keeping car awake, however since I had my 1yr battery replaced under warranty and cleared all codes all is seeming fine at the moment so fingers crossed all is sorted :)

The IVM will drain the battery when it gets old, as it want let the battery take a complete charge. You will see the battery run down fast when the IVM starts going down hill. You might want to watch out for this. You can always pull one fuse at a time, & watch the amps for a big drop.

Well fingers crossed all is well with newly replaced battery, now my passion to sort her out fully. Now the list is:

1 Get dvd navigation disc.
2 Sim for the phone.
3 Try work out how to get this denison unit working and find model of it and sort out phone connection issues.
4 sort drainage channels out.
5 clean leather and carpets.
6 polish chrome.

Any help would be amazing with 1 to 3. Haha

You can find copies of the Nav disk on Ebay pretty cheap, or can probably find a download somewhere. Updating the 645 Nav disc will help some, but the CCC system really limits what you get. Don't expect to much, or pay to much for a copy. If you see Bluetooth on the CCC under Phone, you have Bluetooth capability. Not all 645's came with Bluetooth, so check this 1st. There is a Dennison thread that shows pretty much everything you need, so search for this. Check out the DIY section for info on these issues.

You may have to do a bit of playing around as I'm not certain but if you have the original phone in the arm rest then that may have been disconnected when the Dension was installed, if the coding for the Dension is still in place you should be able to go to Entertainment on the iDrive and select either CD or (if you have the disc numbers showing, 6 (I think, it's been a while since I had to set one up)), that should get you into it, take a look in the glove box behind the black cover at the back or pull the CD changer, the Dension should be behind there and you'll be able to find which one has been installed, hopefully it's the 500 bt. They are a bit dated now but still work well with the CCC.

I tried the disc option as you said. It has a switch in the glove compartment. Tried connecting phone to Bluetooth but its a Samsung s21 ultra so guess the software is out of date, with the denison it doesn't see a USB key drive with music on or an old ipod mp3 player. I have seen an android unit for the 6 series do you have any thoughts on this or knowledge ? And many thanks for your help its very appreciated

Dension firmware can be found here
Just pick your model and you can download the software to USB then upload it to the dension, the support page there also gives all the details of how to do it.
As for the Android unit, go 8 core with Android 9 or above, avoid anything being sold with Android 8 or below as these units had a high degree of failure, the average reviews on these units has vastly improved over the last year or two.
Here's one reputable site (among many) plus eBay and Amazon have loads but, although cheaper I think I'd rather go with a dedicated firm, ultimately, the choice yours.

Most phones can be connected to them via the cable to the dension's usb (samsung included) it just depends on what he's got fitted. I hardly ever use the cable unless I need to charge the phone, I always link to it via Bluetooth.

Some of the Android replacement screens have multiple usb connections available. Couple that with a 128GB thumb drive, you have plenty of storage for music and movies. At least you'll have something to watch, if your significant other likes shopping!?!
Although these days I tend to catch up on a couple of YT channels, esp, M539.

I wouldn't want to watch any movies in the car, but modern day options would be nice. The USB drive would be good enough for most anything, music for me. A new NAV that updates like Google maps would be nice. Our NAV systems are way to old, & outdated. I might check into one of these.
