Hello all!! I am new to the forum and awaiting the arival of my 2002 Electric Red 325i SP,OBC, Xenon, HS,Moonroof. I have been looking at all the posts and they are filled with great info, tips, etc. I have been calling BMWNA and my dealer like everyone else trying to get info. I do know that the car is a SA build and it is supposed to reach Port Bayonne tomorrow. I was just wondering what the typical wait time is at the VPC before it is sent to the dealer. I am getting it from Towne BMW in Buffalo, NY. Anyway hope to talk with you all soon and thanks for the great site to visit!!!!

I will post pics as soon as I take delivery!!! My dealer is Rich Singer. So far he has been very helpful and has humored each of my many calls to him with questions.
Any tips I should know about dealing in the future with Towne??? and when I take delivery anything to ask, get etc.???

Yes RED! The car was already made and owned by another dealers stock overseas. Towne made a trade and now it's on it's way. It was originally supposed to dock yesterday but was updated to tomorrow so I hope the turnaround is quick. This board definitely helps pass the time. Do you know by any chance if Towne will set the clown nose to blink and the lights to flash without the alarm and who to ask to do it if so ?? (I did not get the alarm) but Towne said they would match Circle BMW's price.

When you go in to pick up your car, they will have you fill out a key activation sheet that will allow you to pick the options you want with your key.

Some of the options you can choose:

1. All doors unlock with one touch of the key.
2. Daytime running lights :thumbdwn:
3. Doors auto-lock when car reaches 15 mph.
4. Lights blink/clown nose activates when locking with key.
5. Pathway lighting - when you shut off the car you push forward on the light stick. After you get out of the car, the headlights will stay on for 45 sec.

I can't remember the rest.

Anyway, Towne should be throwing in floormats, coffe mug, key chain, hat, etc. I got a bunch of goodies. My salesguy was Dave Cochi. Another great person to deal with. See if you can get them to throw in the wheel locks too.

thanks for the link to the key configs!!! So some one HAS had the clown nose activated at Towne. I have heard of many dealers not wanting to activate this feature.

Hey hey, they activated my clown nose + the blinking lights on lock/unlock. Just hand-write it into the car-key memory sheet and ask your sales guy to make sure it gets taken care of. It also helps to bring the printout from http://www.bmwnation.com/tech/tech_3carkeycfg_01.html (this is the same link Mystikal posted above).
