I am looking into buying a 2007 328i and really have no clue about the maitenece cost, if i can do it myself and the difficulty. This would be my first BMW, as I have had Japanese thus far. The car has 103k on it and he is selling it for 11k. Is that a good deal as well? He says it was a 2year lease and because that the car has been taken it to only the BMW dealer. Help ASAP please!!

Well, with a 2 year lease there are 5 years unaccounted for. Whatcha gonna do about that?
I didn't think about that. He says that he just had the spark plugs along with a few other things done. Also, (I forgot to mention this initially) the red BRAKE sign is illuminated even after the car has been cranked and on, and I don't know if that means that I need to buy new breaks for it or its a sensor issue.

BMW's are very expensive to maintain outside of warranty. Are you getting a warranty on this car with this deal? If not, you need to walk away ad fast. 11k for a 6yr old car with 103kmiles on it? No way.
Sounds like you need new brakes!
I own an 07 328i coupe and its been near perfect for the two years I've had it. Minus this damned cold and the blower motor starting to die... But its only got 60k miles on the clock.
At 100k miles any car is going to have a ton of maintenance issues. I would bet you'll be in the market for a new suspension as well as the brakes. Believe it or not these cars can be maintained, mostly, without a mechanic if you're reasonably competent with tools and can follow instructions. I did my first brake job ever on my 328 and it went really well.
The car seems priced fairly well, but there are better deals to be found with fewer miles. I would wait and find one of those.

I owned a 2000 323i 4Dr, purchased at 89k miles.
Now all designs have their weaknesses - my model's weakness was the cooling system. When I purchased it, the leather seats in front were partially shot, and the wheels were a mess.I also replaced all 4 window regulators and put 160k over 8 years on the car. Traded it in at 240k when it needed a new windshield, suspension, brakes, and other work.
I budgeted $1800/yr for maintenance on that car - some years, it was less - $800, some it was more - $2500 (with tires). I took it in to a non-BMW shop that worked on Euro cars.
For the first 3.5 years, $250/mo car payment and $150 maintenance budget was a bit much - wouldn't do that again for the condition of that car when purchased.
All I can tell you is that you will spend money every year - I thought $150 per month to drive the car was less than a car payment - so that rationale worked after the note was paid.
