So long story short I’ve been through everything with this car and have fixed just about everything except the adaptive headlight error . I bought 2 good condition used headlights since mine were damaged/corroded/bad wiring .
(I should have kept my old SMC modules to reference from but didn’t think about it at that time !)
I have a 2006 525i , I believe my modules were regular SMC, the ones I purchased were SMC2. The ones I purchased were from a 2007 535 I wanna say , same pre LCI headlights different modules .
the headlights work great minus the moving part, however in ista it says LM communication with SMC left disrupted (same with right ) .
I figured hey , must be programming . Bought updated SP Daten files from NCS expert to make sure I don’t brick my module . Loaded up NCS expert , followed the below steps and then received this error code . Do you think this is from the wrong modules ? Or, maybe an issue with the coding ?
also for some reason I’m not able to connect or test voltage input on the SMC modules . Can’t move them , it seems like they are almost disconnected when they are Forsure connected and I checked for damage , they were perfect before installation.
