Hey guys! New member here and hoping to get some info on replacing my ignition lock cylinder. I guess first I want to make sure it needs replaced to begin with. My key just turns and turns in the ignition so I'm guessing it needs replaced?? Can anyone confirm that this problem requires the replacement of the lock cylinder? Would you happen to have instructions or pictures to walk me through the process? Thanks to anyone who can help. This is for a 98 528i

Make sure the key is pushed firmly into the cylinder; otherwise, it will spin. Also, try a shot of Tri-Flow.
