I've searched and searched, and all the ones I've seen on the internet have reviews by users saying they seem to be too short or have an issue with the clips. Do I have to get OEM hood struts or is there a decent brand out there? What beemer suppliers do you like?

The one by Stabilus are supposedly OEM in that they are the same manufacturer (according to parts geek)?

Seems like the Stabilus units get very good reviews at Pelican Parts (they're cheaper there, too). Given that the originals are made by Stabilus, I don't see any reason to pay $50+ for the exact same thing with a BMW logo on it.

@ZeGerman ***8211; Yes that is a good price. I agree if Stabilus is the OE maker no reason to pay for BMW branding!
