I had a hard-wired car kit in my 540i and plan on installing a similar kit in my 330i. Driving stick makes this even more of an issue for me now.

When my phone rings while I am driving, I don't answer it. I tell EVERYBODY that I know, if I don't pick up the phone and you KNOW I'm driving, that's because I do not use cell phones while driving.

On occasions when I am expecting people to call me while driving, like meeting people at unfamiliar places, I'll just put on the earphone ahead of time so I can talk and drive at the same time...But generally I avoid using the cell as much as I can while in transit.

Same here. I just don't use it. Period. If it's important, they'll leave a message...

There are two things that REALLY piss me off in traffic:

1. People who come to a full STOP at YIELD signs
2. People talking on the phone while driving big a$$ trucks & SUV's at a distance no greater than a few feet from my rear bumper...

I use a Jabra earbud. If BMW actually used a more modern phone like a Motorola v60c, I would pay big bucks for it.

If nothing better comes along in the next year, I'll bite the bullet and get the BMW CPT8000 and a second calling plan. I really don't want to do that though.
