How do you clean 'The Absorber'?

I lost my instruction on how to clean 'The Absorber'. Does anyone know how to clean it?

Washing machine, with mild detergent. Preferrably by itself. I washed mine alone with a fairly new red sweatshirt and now my absorber is pink. Came right out though in the next load. Add that to my list of stupid things.

When mine gets dirty I normally run water over it and the dirt come right out.
