OK, I'm having some real fun over the weekend. I'll be driving a MINI !!!!! I picked it up at 9:00am today. It's one of the most fun cars I've ever driven.

I made some pics and wanted to share it with you. Enjoy !!

Is that a loaner replacement?
No, I've returned the loaner yesterday and picked my car up. As I was leaving the dealer, I stopped by my sales rep just to say Hi. After a few minutes chat, he asked me if I'd like to drive a Mini over the weekend. Of course I didn't refuse an offer like this :D . He's a really nice guy and doing his job really good.

This one costs about $15.000, it has a 4cylinder 90hp/140Nm engine.

It also has A/C, power windows, power steering.

Better than your Focus? Comparably priced?
Nate, the MINI is 1000 times more fun to drive than the Focus.

Focus did very well in Germany in tests compared to VW Golf ( Golf best selling car in Germany since years). I own the Focus since one year, driven about 10.000 mls and am happy with it. It does its job well.

But the Mini on the other hand is a beautiful car (in my opinion), it has a rigid body and excellent steering. The one I have over the weekend has the smallest engine, but fast enough though.

Seriously, I would consider Mini as a second car, especially The Cooper S with 163hp :D

Cool. Did you know that the mini is actually more rigid than any 3 series body? And ligher too. If only BMW could put one of their excellent 4 cyliners in it rather than the Chrysler unit they're using it would be even better...Anyway- give us a full report!

Your so lucky! :D I take it that it the Cooper One? I talked to a BMW tech that has driven a CooperS and he stated that is incredible, said it was a blast to drive. He also said it is the closest thing to an E46 M3 for less than half the money.

thanks pretty cool . . . why does everyone get these great salesman that let them take home cars and I'm lucky if my sales guy even remembers he sold me a car when I see him at the dealer.

I'm not loving that mini but I sure wouldn't mind driving it for a weekend.

Nice going Alex :thumb: :thumb:
