I'm a newbie X3 owner and this might be a stupid question.

When I test drove my X3, I thought I recalled the dealer telling me the moonroof opened the entire way. When we got it home, the moonroof broke, and the dealer had to replace it all. Now when I open the moonroof, only the front panel opens all the way. The back panel doesn't move. Did I imagine the dealer telling me it goes all the way back or is something broken still?

Thanks in advance!

:)

Thank you! I think anything I recall from the test drive was negated when it broke and was replaced with a fully functioning one. All's right with the world now.

That's normal. The convenience position (one click past the resistance point of the switch) is about 2/3rds of the way open. To open further, push the switch till it clicks again. The front panel will slide full back inline with the smaller glass panel, which does not slide.
