I bought a set of MMP inlets for the N54 and was planning on installing them in the next couple of weeks. I've started to read installation guides and noticed that they are mainly for 135i and 335i's. Most of the guides seem to indicate that the subframe, downpipes, fan and much more needs to be removed. I've heard estimates that it's 12 to 15 hours of work.

Has anyone replaced the inlets on an E60? How was the install? Did you work off a specific guide that was specific for an E60, or close enough?

I've heard that the rear inlet is the most difficult, but we can pull the hose down into position by using a rope and pulling from below.

If it's a total PITA, I may choose to take this to an Indy. What should they charge to install?

Thanks for the advice, appreciated.
