How many countries has your car been driven?

I would guess that European Delivery cars have the best chance of being driven in many countries. The rare person trying to drive around the world also would have a high country count.

My new car has been merely driven (by the owner, me) in three countries, Germany, U.S. (2 states), and Canada. A previous car was driven in 3 countries and 15 U.S. states.

My guess is that it is not too common but not that shocking for one to have driven in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Monaco, U.S., Canada, and Mexico, making it 17 countries. A Germany to South Africa, U.S. to Argentina, or Germany to Singapore would be quite unusual.

Anyone drive their car in more than 7 countries? (7 chosen because quite a few drive from Munich to Monaco then Nice.

But how many countries has your current engine been driven? :p

(sad story: someone did not like his funny green pants worn on delivery so they followed him to France, and left a huge rock in the middle of the road, causing a catastrophic oil leak and eventual engine replacement. ok, maybe the following him to France is a made up part of the story :D but the green pants is not.)

Eleven, if you include principalities.

Germany; Czech Republic; Slovakia; Hungary; Austria; Italy; San Marino; France; Monaco; Switzerland. Plus the US.

I still have the Czech, Slovakian, and Austrian vignettes on my windshield.

Anyone manage 3 continents? Maybe someone in the service? Or Europe, North America, and Asia (Asian side of Turkey)?

I've driven in 11 all together, 9 while on ED and the US & Canada. I won't list the 9 because they're all the ones typically visited during ED, but I will remind people that Liechtenstein is not authorized for ED. It's not part of the EU and not on the authorized list of countries, something we didn't realize until after we visited. Interestingly, it was the only border that was manned, but the guard wasn't paying any attention and waived us right through.

This is disputed. There have been postings here that the insurance covers it. There have been conflicting reports that the license plate is not recognized per BMW but is ok per the local tourist office. I have not read any reports of a fine or arrest from the license plates. Perhaps, one day someone will write a letter in German to the police there or other authority for a definitive answer?
